Newsletter Feature – Danielle excels at work!

White woman in orange shirt at work rolling silverware

Danielle has been an active member at Community Choices for several years. In June of last year, after having completed our Workforce Empowerment Program, Danielle decided she wanted to begin looking for employment and started working with employment specialist Marissa. Within a month after completing Discovery, Danielle was able to secure a volunteer position with the Wesley Food Pantry at Parkland College.

Since then, Danielle has worked hard to consistently show up to volunteering every week, actively put in applications, and even participated in a job shadow at AMC theater.

At the beginning of March, Danielle not only secured an on the spot interview, but was also offered a position with Biaggi’s – Champaign immediately following her interview! Danielle is going on her second week at Biaggi’s where she assists with rolling silverware to make sure day service runs smoother for the restaurant. She is enjoying getting to know her co-workers, learning her way around the restaurant, and has even started setting goals for her future at Biaggi’s.

Danielle is already doing fantastic and we can’t wait to see what success she has in the future!
